I grew up reading comic books wanting to be a superhero. Comics taught me that those who speak the truth are heroes, all the rest are liars.

What's that bitter taste?

I wish Senator Clinton's campaign was as sweet as ice cream (see earlier post "What's your flavor?" by T&J), then I may feel like running after the ice cream truck to get an Obama-Clinton Sundae... Unfortunately, today we got more of the same bitterly negative politics, as we've grown accustomed to from the Clinton campaign.

Some will play this post off as an attack, be warned. I am in no way attacking anyone, just stating the TRUTH.

"If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position. And if he was a woman, he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept." - Geraldine Ferraro

Here's the full story from CNN: Ferraro: 'They're attacking me because I'm white'

CNN does a great job in this story to not only cover Ferraro's comments, but also to lay out the history of the Clinton campaign's use of similar tactics.

This is beyond disgusting to me.

You're sounding more and more like the spoiled 2 year old that doesn't want ice cream unless it's the only one he chooses! Give me a break. You do a dis-service to our party and both candidates (yes even Obama). Far be it for me to point out that you're using what Geraldine said to paint Hillary nor do you mention her resignation...

You don't see me using what Obama's minister says to paint him with the same brush... even though he's been a personal advisor and friend for years...

"After Newsmax broke the story of the award to Farrakhan on Jan. 14, Mr. Obama issued a statement. However, Mr. Obama ignored the main point: that his minister and friend had spoken adoringly of Mr. Farrakhan, and that Mr. Wright's church was behind the award to the Nation of Islam leader.

Instead, Mr. Obama said, "I decry racism and anti-Semitism in every form and strongly condemn the anti-Semitic statements made by Minister Farrakhan. I assume that Trumpet magazine made its own decision to honor Farrakhan based on his efforts to rehabilitate ex-offenders, but it is not a decision with which I agree." Trumpet is owned and produced by Mr. Wright's church out of the church's offices, and Mr. Wright's daughters serve as publisher and executive editor.

Meeting with Jewish leaders in Cleveland on Feb. 24, Mr. Obama described Mr. Wright as being like "an old uncle who sometimes will say things that I don't agree with." He rarely mentions the points of disagreement."

Different flavors dude..grow up. We can sling the mud until both sides are mortally wounded...or we can choose the positive that none of our candidates are anywhere near the insane mentality of McCain.

If I left after my candidate(s) lost, I would have called it quits after Howard Dean. But I have visions and goals to substain me in wanting to change and improve our party, neighborhoods, community, and state.Unlike the temporary 'insert your candidate's name here 'tatoo that seems to be washing off many of the Obama followers, I understand that there are many paths to achieve these goals.

I guess this sounds mean but that's not my intent...my intent is this...quit the complaining and get with licking the ice cream (or perhaps take a nap to improve your disposition). But really complaining about the flavor of ice cream...because even if YOU don't like it, it appears that half of us do!

Enough with the ice cream! Mr. Blue - actually listen to Obama and then apply his credo! Today Obama said:
"For we have a choice in this country. We can accept a politics that breeds division, and conflict, and cynicism. We can tackle race only as spectacle - as we did in the OJ trial - or in the wake of tragedy, as we did in the aftermath of Katrina - or as fodder for the nightly news. We can play Reverend Wright's sermons on every channel, every day and talk about them from now until the election, and make the only question in this campaign whether or not the American people think that I somehow believe or sympathize with his most offensive words. We can pounce on some gaffe by a Hillary supporter as evidence that she's playing the race card, or we can speculate on whether white men will all flock to John McCain in the general election regardless of his policies.

We can do that.

But if we do, I can tell you that in the next election, we'll be talking about some other distraction. And then another one. And then another one. And nothing will change."

Mr. Blue- you can be the change you want to enact or you can continue to blog distractions.

Truth & Justice didn't you just do exactly what you said "you don't see me using..." in your comment?

I think you did... LOL - I like Mr. Blue's postings and agree with most of them... Until Mr. Blue started posting support messages about Obama - this blog was awfully Clinton slanted. I like the balance. You should quit persecuting the poor guy (Mr. Blue) for his opinion.

PEACE!!

lol...yes I did just what I've been trying to convince Mr. Blue not to do. I have no problem with Mr. Blue's opinion or support for Obama. Just with his attacks on other Democrats specifically Hillary. I do support Hillary but not by bashing Obama.

So my bad, but I did it to make a point and really 'not to bash' Obama. Personally, I think much of what Reverent Wright said was true and was taken out of context or out of a specific periods of time or special enviroments. Like Obama, you can like someone overall and value your relationship with them without having to accept and believe everything they do or say (just ask my youngest son!). I admire Obama's loyalty to his friend and really think it's a non-issue.

I believe engaging in negative attacks takes away from the true issues.(Say didn't Obama say that?!)

For the last three days the news has been about the relationship of Obama and Wright when it should be about the Democratic's alternative solutions to the problems facing America(War, Healthcare, Economy and Infrastructure) verses McCain's. Instead of playing into the media driven drivel, let's refocus on the 'real' issues that impact our lives.
